LAOS
COFFEE
You went to place that is a thousand meters above sea level in Laos which, like Cambodia, totals about the size of Saigon 2010 or so, about 8 million people total.
.
Laos is two thirds the size of Cambodia
.
Dry it in the sun

Plow
Tractor
Infrastructure

In history, I would imagine that good kings would allow or tolerate their bad sons, the prince, the princes, as they became kings themselves.
.
Kings should say no to their sons or find a way to stop their bad sons from destroying their countries or kingdoms but they may love their sons so much and they may be blinded or too close to their sons.
.
Kings can become too blind and also too arrogant, ignorant, powerful, lustful, greedy, and clueless too.
.
Kings can start to live in their own world and may forget what it is like to be a normal person living in poverty.
.
In history, we see these cycles as history repeats itself mostly because the common people were not educated enough and many people could not read or figure out the truth
.
Now, we live in a modern information age where people can read more and people can sometimes use the internet or find different ways to collect information and to also write their own stuff too
.
Not only are people able to read more now than ever before in history, but they are also able to write and take photos and make videos and other things too
.
Laos and Cambodia is developing like Vietnam
.
Imagine living in Vietnam and then waking up in Laos. That is what happened to the woman you met there who was born there like 72 years ago or so, like the 1940's or so when this region in southeast Asia was still French controlled Indochina. Over time, that place became Laos and that family ended up remaining there.
.
I wonder if they wanted to continue living in Laos when it was no longer Indochina.
