Dear Freelance English Teachers, how do you find your students? From Facebook? I was born 1985 in the USA & moved to VN in 2012. I am single. I am 30 years old. I live in Q.1, TP.HCM near the 23/9 Park
.
For me, I spend most of my time teaching English for free at the 23/9 Park near the Ben Thanh Market and McDonald's in District 1 of Saigon. What about you?

  • Fernando RamosWalter and I do know someone who has met you. Their description lines up with what Walter has said and your posts on Expat blog and the like show you are someone who lives "on the edge." That's putting it charitably.

Look I'm someone who has had their
fair share of mental battles. Anyone who has known can attest to it but I also like to think that when push comes to shove, I perform in the classroom and perform decently. So far in your rambling diatribes on YouTube and the like, I see very little evidence of pedagogy or analytical thinking that even a "mere" English teacher requires.

    Do you have any training?

    Where have you taught before?

(You don't need to answer this) How do you still have a visa to live in Vietnam?

  • Walter Hanagriff IIIJoey has been around for many years I think. I don't know how he survives, but he's always a leech, bum, and all around uncomfortable guy to hang out with from all accounts.
If he wasn't white he wouldn't get any attention out here.

People, he's not dangerous, but be aware that he's just a cheap way to learn English. You get what you pay for "or don't in this case.

People warning you have known about him for a long time.

Lets break down his question to see his mindset.
He asks how freelance teachers find students.
Then he goes on to talk about his personal life instead of keeping with the topic.
Who cares if he's single or where he lives. What does that have to do with the question?

Then he actually answers the question, sort of.
Freelance teacher implies people who make a living teaching, but instead of answering his own question, he just says that he teaches English for free at the park.

I am not being mean, i am just worried about what you learn from him.
